SHOOT POOL NOT PEOPLE

''Covering the Southeast for Over 28 Years Proud to call Atlanta Home''

Starting out as a helper on a crew for a major billiard retailer in the mid 90's learning all I could about the industry seemed the only way I could survive if I wanted to make a new career change.
I will admit the first 9 foot table I installed upstairs had me rethinking my choices.
After many years of installing and servicing
pool tables for the big guys it only seemed fit retail was not my thing I wanted more and was starving for knowledge about the history and craftsmanship of the tables our ancestors played on. Hesitant to take on such a task of moving and recovering something you can not replace is a bit intimidating I will admit. Taking that chance and having the ability to learn with some of the best billiard techs in the nation there was a new passion waiting.
Facing an ever changing economy we found ways to survive and made it through
never missing the deadline we were trained that way! Watching the industry decline I started looking for ways to continue to grow and provide I found that in the antique tables that no one cared about except the family that owned them for many years. It's a true passion and still is to this day seeing the wood come alive and the customer happy with there investment and trust in my hands.
We do all types of service and offer many types of custom tables for sale as well as entry level to the most exquisite.
Serving the southeast and abroad for nearly two and a half decades I still look forward to the challenge of serving the best and most reliable
service available today. We do work hand in hand with major retailers In the metro area and have a few select commercial accounts our reputation is perfection and reliability! Please call for a quote most jobs require a few questions about your needs and what type of pool table involved..We do offer complete game room design commercial and residential and work with some of the leading interior design firms the south has to offer with a wide range of decor from modern to rustic we enjoy the custom work!

The Table

Pool tables evolved as a replacement to the lawn of a croquet game. The first recorded pool table in billiards history belonged to Louis XI of France in 1470. Although billiards tables initially could only afforded by nobility and the rich, they were becoming common in the bars and public places of France by the 1500s.
In 1826 John Thurston, an Englishman, invented the slate table bed. This material helped prevent the warping that wood beds were prone to. In 1845 Thurston was granted a patent for pool table cushions that were made from rubber, cork, and leather.
Billiards history in the US is believed to have begun when the first billiards tables were first brought here in the 1600s. American cabinetmakers were crafting quality tables in the 1700s and historic reports are given of George Washington winning a pool match in 1748. By the mid 1800s, pool tables were appearing in public places in this country.
Michael Phelan, an 1850 Irish immigrant, was a very influential figure in American billiards history. He wrote one of the first American books on the game, and invented the use of diamonds on the table rails as an aid to aiming. He founded the Phelan and Collender company, which developed new table and cushion designs and heavily promoted the sport. In 1884 his company merged with the Brunswick & Balke Company, the ancestor to today's giant Brunswick Billiards.
